Having a job that doesn't give much free time was no problem for Mk driver training; my course was booked at my convenience and tailored to my driving ability. the instructor not only taught me how to tow, but also corrected my many bad habits picked up since i passed my test. every aspect required to pass the towing test was covered, and more. Dear Dawn and Dean,

I'd just like to say what a great time I had on Tuesday doing the trailer training with you, despite being more nervous about this test than i was for my HGV test!

Thanks to Dean and Dawn at MK Driver Training passed my B+E trailer test on the first attempt. Although i had some previous experience, to pass the test means driving to an exact standard and following certain procedures that you could never learn without proper training.

Dean set about correcting my bad habits and taking me through what was required in a professional and straight forward manner, his skill and experience as an instructor becoming immediately obvious. I found myself learning not just about towing, but also about driving in general, and came away from the course feeling more confident behind the wheel.

All the relevent questions and answers for the theory side of the test were provided beforehand, and the immediate responses to emails and telephone calls made arranging and preparing for the course extremely easy. I would thoroughly reccommend MK Driver Training to anyone wanting to pass their trailer test, or improve their abilities at towing and manoevering.

We were so pleased with your service and help I just gave your name to a local landscaper who hasn’t passed his test yet

After phoning a local driving driving school about 10 times and emailing 4 times still with no test or lesson date, we gave up with them. I wanted my 20 year old son Jesse to pass his trailer test so that he could collect cars for our used car business with our Nissan Patrol and car trailer. I Googled and found Dawn and explained that Jesse was back at uni in 10 days and could she help. This was Thursday. She found me a cancellation within half an hour for the following Tuesday morning for the test and with a lesson on the Sunday Morning. I phoned Dean between the lesson and the test to say Jesse was a bit unsure of his roundabout positioning. ( I don’t think I’d been a very good teacher !!) Dean offered to meet him at 6.30 am on the morning of the test to give him, a bit more practice.

Well a very happy son rang lunch time to say he had passed!! He was a bit annoyed with himself for picking up 3 minors though !! If only more businesses put themselves out a bit like Dawn and Dean did, to help their customers, the world would de a better place.

Many thanks for the trailer towing session. I came away feeling so much more confident about all aspects of trailer driving and most importantly reversing! I really appreciated the opportunity to take the trailer off the road and focus on thinking about manoeuvring without the pressure of other traffic. I wasn't at all confident about reversing and usually went into a panic at the thought of having to back up the trailer. Usually my husband did it for me! However when we returned from the session I drove the trailer into the yard and backed it into the parking space without any problem at all! Now all I have to do is keep practicing, using all the helpful tips and guidelines you gave.

As the 60 year old owner of a slightly headstrong but talented skewbald cob I need to be able to take her places. So my husband was persuaded that we should overcome our prejudice about ‘Chelsea Tractors’ and purchase a Land Rover Discovery and Ivor Williams Trailer.

Friends and husband have been very good with information and assistance with driving and especially reversing and parking the trailer but there are times when one cannot rely on other people. As reversing has never been my strong point even without a trailer attached I sought the help of MK Towing.

They proved to be just what I was looking for. The receptionist, Dawn, was extremely helpful and sympathetic to my predicament- not making me feel stupid for my incompetence.

I explained my requirements to the instructor, Dean. As one of my big problems was parking the trailer at my livery yard he agreed to meet me there. After checking that my hitching procedures was correct we set off for a disused airfield near Worminghall in Oxfordshire. On the journey I was given a lot of useful hints for help with general driving as well as those specific to towing. I was relieved that the advice given by trailer owning friends had been pretty sound and Dean considered by driving on the road to be acceptable.

Reversing was another matter. Friends usually end up taking over as they run out of time or get confused as to which way I should turn the wheel. Dean had the patience and the skill to explain what was needed and let me do it myself. After a lot of practice I managed to reverse in a reasonably straight line, but alas my attempts at reversing to the right between cones left a lot to be desired. Never mind. At least I have the confidence to practice without having to rely on someone else to park the trailer.

I would certainly recommend MK Towing to anyone like me who needs someone with the skill and patience to let you practice.

Hi Dean, I would like to thank you for the excellent trailer towing course that I took recently. It's amazing how much you can learn in just a few hours and it's given me increased confidence, not only in general driving a awareness but also in manoeuvring my horse trailer. Straight from the training I reversed my trailer into a very tight space at the yard and although it took a couple of attempts - I did it - something I would not even have contemplated previously!

Thank you very much for helping me to pass the B+E test earlier this week. When I signed up for the course I hadn’t realised quite how much was involved, but I now feel very relieved to have passed!

Whilst the test itself wasn’t easy, thanks to your instruction and the course format I felt fully prepared for the test. I enjoyed the course format of 2 full days of tuition, as this gave me plenty of time to understand the necessary techniques without feeling rushed or time-pressured. The use of the airfield for the manoeuvres was great and the one on one tuition meant that I could work at my own pace and concentrate on the areas of my driving that most needed improving. The couple of hours of practice on the morning of the test itself really helped to settle my nerves and I felt more confident at the start of the test. I would strongly recommend MK Towing Courses to anyone looking to pass their B+E test.
